Every relationship has its fair share of ups and downs. But the problems tend to get bigger when you are in a long distance relationship (LDR). Being in one, I have first-hand experience of all such issues that couples possibly face in a long distance relationship. I live in Mumbai and my girlfriend resides in Delhi. Last year, I decided to visit my girlfriend in Delhi and surprise her on her birthday. I booked flight tickets for a day before her birthday, as I wanted to spend some quality time with her. The moment she opened the door, her eyes got bigger with excitement and she was smiling ear to ear. She couldn’t hold her excitement and hugged me right away. Later, we celebrated her birthday together and it gave me a great sense of satisfaction to know that it was the best birthday surprise she has ever received and she was really impressed with this sweet gesture.
